Pace of play is always the #1 concern by any of the employees at Rutgers (don't forget to just pick up). One of the college-aged kid rangers told us a story about being a hole behind after coming off #11 when we saw the group in front of us leave #11 green as we got to the tee. Of course, he was nowhere to be found when it backed up on #16.

Much better than what I had expected in my first round at the RU course. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the rangers were driving around the course offering tips and even helping to locate your ball. The course was well maintained, picturesque with a variety of plants and shrubs. I will play there again!

Pace of play there was ridiculous. The rangers are staring you down on every hole and if you slightly fall back from the group in front of you, they harass you to a pulp. It is a beautifully kept course but I wouldn't play it because of the whole pad of play situation.

A lot of internal out of bounds on the front nine. Nice overall course. Pace of play can be slow.

always in great shape

Pace of play is fast, however no matter how well you are keeping up you will be harassed by the marshals. It becomes very distracting and can interfere with your game.

To show how bad it can be, we were once standing on a par 3 tee box waiting for the green to clear and the marshal warned us about keeping up. Literally the only way we could go faster was to hit down on the group ahead of us.
