Here's a rarity - a club where *two* Jack Nicklaus-designed courses are open for public play.
The TOURNAMENT COURSE debuted in 1999 and features five tee-boxes that stretch the course from 5,184 to 7,027 yards. The terrain alternates between the lower slopes of the Diablo Range to more open land, while the risk-reward 18th hole has water along the right side. The standard rates (with cart) are $80 weekdays and $102 on weekends and holidays.
The VALLEY COURSE opened in 2001 and while it is similar in length, playing from 5,187 to 7,066 yards, is a bit gentler and more accommodating of higher-handicap players. Four lakes and two waterfalls are part of the design. The standard rates (with cart) are $72 weekdays and $92 on weekends and holidays. Junior, senior, and sliding twilight rates are available on both courses, as are memberships.

A pleasant course as long as you don't have a late morning or early afternoon tee time... as the wind really howls later in the day. Staff was rather full of themselves and not terribly friendly but helpful enough. The Valley course is rather flat and somewhat hardpan. The hill course is very challenging and well beyond my meager game. Over priced but Over-all a decent enough course.

I've play'd this course before Jack rebuilt it and now I like Valley course it had a more sane design than the usual Jack Nicklaus deep bunkers around par 3/4 and yes the sand baked hard which is fine for the high handy capper also the green were nice slow and sticky and gave up pars and birdies to a 25 HC player I play poppy often 126 slope this course advertises 130 but play more like 115 Yes the wind was a factor but if you are used to wind like we have here in Stockton on the delta Coyote is a piece of cake... So I'd say go play it it was fun all day and the 19th hole was reasonable too.

A pretty golf club sandwiched either side of highway 101, I was very impressed on arriving as it has a high end feel. Lunch was good and clubhouse service is attentive.
On getting my cart I arrived at the first hole to find the GPS not working and a return to the club house to acquire another.
We hit the first tee at 2:00 and the wind was a two to three club consideration: downwind you can be carried right or left, upwind you can expect to not hit that GIR. this course needs a few rounds to work out the drafts and currents which will kill your game.
KEEP IT LOW!
Greens were not the best as there was considerable variation. And my favourite gripe is bunkers with no sand, this is simply not acceptable.
All considered this course is worth a second visit, probably in the morning to avoid the winds from the west, but if it plays like this from morning to night, then I am afraid it is a pass by.

The Tournament Course is by far the more interesting course.
The Valley Course is pretty bland, with little trouble off of any of the tee boxes. Unlike other Jack Nicklaus designs, you can be a bit off with your approach shots and still have a decent chance for par.
