I can't understand with all the money made on Michigan courses why they don't invest in decent sand, these are dirt pits with large to medium stones in better know as club destroyer.
I know the object is not to be in the sand but if you are, you shouldn't damage your clubs adding to the mystery lol

This course went through bankruptcy and the new owner is doing an uneven job. The fairways are in good shape. The greens are pretty good. The bunkers suck - sand varies from bunker to bunker, often there is one single broken rake for a bunker, some have weeds growing, it appears the course has not raked the bunkers in some time, leaving it to the players, who also do a sucky job. Some tees are fine and others torn up. Course was full and no beverage cart or water jugs on the course. Large clubhouse but the only food are some hot dogs on an electric grilling rack. It appeared the only two people connected to the course was the young lady in the clubhouse and a guy shuttling range balls. No rangers or any presence of management on the course.

We played for $18 each with a bucket of balls thrown in (Groupgolfer.com) so the cost was equivalent to the golfing experience. Nice design. Nice setting. Very uneven service and maintenance. For $20 or less play it. More than $25, there are better values for the dollar.
