While this 27-hole facility is located on an active military base, they *do* welcome some public play; any civilian who can lawfully gain access to Nellis AFB is permitted to play - call the pro-shop ahead of time for information. Obviously, active and retired military, family members, and DoD-authorized guests are welcome at all times.
Each nine is named after a military aircraft with historical significance at Nellis:
EAGLE COURSE: Named after the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle tactical fighter, this course features challenging doglegs and some difficult bunkers pockmarking the otherwise-open fairways.
FALCON COURSE: Named after the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon, this long-ish layout includes several ponds and ditches in play.
RAPTOR COURSE: Named after the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor stealth fighter, this course includes bunkers that locals describe as "nightmares," while desert and lake terrain are also featured here.
The land which previously held the "Thunderbird" nine was closed and sold to the City of North Las Vegas; the land is now barren and unused.

Hidden jewel in the Nevada desert. Military course that is a bargain for low cost a high end quality.

Nice track with a few surprises for the wayward ball stricker. Desert and ditches can come into play off the fairway. Hard greens are not very receptive and can result in some quick breaking putts.
