Tara Hills Golf Course was originally opened in 1981 as a 9 hole facility. It was expanded to 18 holes in 1993. It measures 6100 yards and will require the golfer to use every club in the bag. The course is forgiving yet extremely challenging from the tee box. The U.S.G.A. constructed greens are Penncross bentgrass with Kentucky bluegrass throughout the tees, fairways and rough areas. Accuracy is at a premium at Tara Hills which makes it a challenge for all skill levels who come to play.
