Bloomfield Hills Country Club dates to 1909, when the original 12-hole course was staked by Tom Bendelow. Then in 1912, another notable architect, Harry S. Colt, redesigned it into a full 18-hole course. In the intervening decades, Donald Ross, Robert Trent Jones, and Arthur Hills have redesigned portions of the course.
