Rocky Point Golf Course
1935 Back River Neck Rd
Essex, MD 21221-6403, United States

410.887.0215
Don't let its length of 6,750 yards fool you; architect Russell Roberts added some deception and difficulty to the golf course. Rocky Point, with its many elevation changes, plays longer than its posted yardage. Par at Rocky Point is set at 72, with a fairly open front nine and a back nine that is relatively tight thanks to a number of water hazards and tree-lined fairways.

This public-access course is owned and operated by the County of Baltimore. The general public walking rates are $30 weekdays and $35 weekends.

Rough is too high. Needs to be cut back some to make the play more enjoyable. Fairways are a bit short for my liking but it just may be the type of grass. Greens were incredible.

Great course for all levels of golfers. Pro shop personnel are helpful and friendly. Scenery is GREAT!

Great Course pace of play has improved over the last four or five years. I say best value around the Baltimore area. Play here more than anywhere else.

Best golf value in the Baltimore Metro area.

Best I've seen this course in awhile. Fairways, bunkers and greens.

Beautiful course. Unfortunately the Rangers make golfing almost impossible. I consider myself a quick player but the Rangers constantly harass players on every hole. The cart clock indicated that we were well ahead of schedule but that did not stop the Rangers from always saying that we had to keep pace with the twosome ahead of us. I'm not sure how a foursome can keep pace with a twosome.

Be ready for a five hour round.

not bad for a baltimore county course, but they could do a much better job with their maintenance of the course and the sandtraps. there are much better values in baltimore county than this one with much better maintenance.
