My review needs a little explanation... I really like this course a lot. It had been a private course for years, but the downturn in the economy and Hurricane Katrina forced them to become semi-private. It's in pretty good shape, drains fairly well and does a good job of being a solid test of golf as it's wedged into a community. The layout is tight and the course is mature. I have no complaints about the course at all really. That said, I don't know that it's fair to give it the same grade I would give another course in the area that is simply a better course. Nor can I give it a 5 star that I might save for the few elite courses I've played, like Fallen Oak which is a nationally ranked course and rightfully so. If I could give it a 3.5 or a 3.75, that's what I'd give it. To me personally, it's nearly perfect because it's a good layout well maintained with a great price. But in the overall scheme of things, it's about a 3.5 course.
