The course reopened last fall after completely redoing their greens. They are still in the process of doing them, as of 3 weeks ago... the collars were still being laid down. The greens were very firm and really too fast, but they are true. Balls don't wander on them, but they will roll well past where they should stop. I wish they'd have taken some time and redone their tee boxes at the same time as their greens... Many are unlevel or could use some raising... Also could have done more to deal with drainage, the course is in a swamp and has settled, they could move some dirt and really make it drain well as well as contour the cours... Course is an older Pete Dye course, lots of water in a swampy environment, especially on the front 9. A few holes have great shot values, including the par 4 17th and the par 3 3rd. Value is great - it's a good course at the price point it's given and there are often good deals. It's a bit outside of the city of New Orleans, so it's rarely super crowded. Maintenance is OK, outside of the desires listed. Folks there seem nice. The holes along the swamp area are nice, with large houses across the lagoon and big oaks on holes 3-7. Likely to see herons, ibis, turtles, snakes and alligators along that stretch. The rest of the course looks like most other courses built with housing communities around them.
