This course began life in the 1920s as "Westlink Golf Course," but a group purchased and renamed the course in 1948. Since hosting the U.S. Women's Open in 1950, the course has undergone improvements such as a redesign and rebuilt by architect Floyd Farley in 1963, upgraded irrigation in 1995, and reseeding of the fairways with Zoysia the following year.
