Course is in pretty good shape. Rough has recently been cut which allows you to find your ball on the miss hits, but it’s brutal if it’s un cut for getting out of it if you cam find your ball. Tees, fairways and greens are in good shape this mid-May. Sand traps are hit and miss as far as condition goes. Most are pretty hard sand, but some are soft and rakeable. No ball or club cleaners are available on carts or at tees still due to COVID but hopefully will be changing soon. Lassing Pointe, BL’s sister course is in similar shape.

Blows Kenton County away, and cheaper too. Very good layout that challenges you to hit every club in your bag.... only a few placement tee shots, everything else is rip away.... par 3's play tough but you're most likely to play all 4 of them using 4 different clubs.... greens have gotten very slow would be my one complaint... don't let the 141 slope rating scare you away, the course is very fair.

We're out of towners and enjoyed the course. Only real downfall we had was every group ahead of us appeared to be retired members and were not going to let us play thru. Front nine was perfect pace and then caught them on number 10. Added 30-45 minutes to the back nine.

Very good municipal. Greens are varied, undulating to flat, unique to just an old green & are usually a bit slow. The 1st cut of rough is 4 to 5 inches long & its thick. Very good test of ability. Nothing unfair about the course; however, the 1st rough is a bit long & thick, makes finding your ball difficult, even if you've got hawk eyes. Not hilly but definitely not flat! All around GOOD facility.

Overall the course was in above average condition. The pace was very slow, and the ranger did not show up until the 17th hole. Price is a little over the top when compared to other local courses, but Boone County has always had an issue when it comes to thinking their courses are superior. The course gets 3.25 score.
