The original 18-hole course was designed by Frank MacDonald and debuted in 1929. The course was completely redesigned by architect Arthur Hills and re-opened in 1990. One reason Orchard Ridge is notable is because the course hosted the first-ever LPGA Championship in 1955.
An adjacent apple orchard was the inspiration for the club's name. Four lakes are in play on this gently rolling, 120-acre course.
