The course was devastated by the historic flood of 2008, but reopened on May 22, 2009. JPGC opened in 1959 with 9 holes, and after a complete reconstruction, reopened with a new Robert Lohman design and a second nine in May of 2001. The clubhouse is being renovated with an expected opening in spring 2010.
