Streamsong Resort
1000 Streamsong Dr
Bowling Green, FL 33834-0195, United States

813.399.9470
One of the most anticipated new facilities in the United States, Streamsong features two courses that were actually built and intertwined alongside each other, but by two different sets of architects. Both Tom Doak and the partnership of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw are "traditionalist" architects, so Doak's "Blue" course and the Coore/Crenshaw "Red" course compliment each other in appearance and design, and were built simultaneously.

These courses were built on land reclaimed from a former phosphate mine, so sand dunes and dramatic elevation changes are among the chief features here. Both are included in Golf Magazine's list of top 100 courses in the United States; the Red Course is at #52 and the Blue Course at #62. In January of 2015, the resort announced that architect Gil Hanse will design a third course ("Black"), scheduled to open late in 2017.

Streamsong is located about 48 miles southeast of Tampa and 85 miles southwest of Orlando.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Red Course and the Black Course....the Black has some huge greens that are a little bit funky

Absolutely fabulous but an extremely hard course. Also a very long hard walk - be prepared.

Beautiful course! Played near the end of February. Wondered about the greens being dressed, but was told by the caddie that the greens are dressed every week. It definitely made the greens fast! I walked the course and didn't find it difficult. The caddies were pleasant but definitely didn't offer any assistance since they weren't being used by me. I've had other experiences where the caddies would offer to clean your ball on the green and insisted on doing the bunkers (for the next group of golfers coming through). Had to wait for much of the round unfortunately. Can't bring myself to give 5 star value for any round costing over $200, but I'll admit I didn't feel like I didn't get my money's worth.

Once on site, you'd never know you are in Central Florida playing golf. Played the Blue Course and enjoyed it!

WOW!! Lived up to all the hype and then some!!!

Once you get on the golf courses, this place is great. Everything else about the place is mediocre for a resort of this level. The range is laughable. The service is earnest and well-meaning, but ultimately unpolished and awkward. It's as if the place opened last week, not a year ago. The rooms in the clubhouse are small and poorly designed. Their big lodge opens soon; stay there if you can. Overall, the golf is on par with Bandon and Kohler, but the rest of the experience lags well behind.

Great Courses. Only walk if you are in shape. Lots of hills. Red is an easier walk than Blue. Red's green have less undulation than Blue.
Bring your "A" game and hit some chips on the practice range before playing
