Max A. Mandel Golf Course
27700 FM 1472
Laredo, TX 78045-5022, United States

956.726.2000
Noted architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed this highly-anticipated course, which opened in October of 2012 northwest of Laredo and is owned by the City of Laredo. "The Max" plays over 270 acres of land perched above the Rio Grande that features many Mesquite and cacti, along with nearly a mile of land along the river, although water is in-play only on the right side of 17. The terrain ranges from wide-open former farmland to several deep arroyos. The course is named in memory of Max A. Mendel, a Laredo bank executive whose family donated 390 acres of land to the city for the project.

For now, tee-times are only available online; the non-resident rates are $46 on Mondays through Thursdays, then $56 on Fridays, weekends, and holidays. Junior and resident discounts are also available.

Played one time on a Friday. Fairways were in good shape and green were thin. Pro Shop, Clubhouse were great, and reasonably priced. Great afternoon of golf and worth the trip.

Played this Course three times. very nice layout, along the Rio Grande River. Nice greens, well kept fairways and a nice change of pace from the almost flat border courses because othe topography along the river. Worth the trip out to Laredo....
