Fyre Lake Golf Club
1057 Fairway Ln
Sherrard, IL 61281, United States

This course was designed by Jack Nicklaus's architecture firm and opened in 2011, in a lakefront residential development outside the Quad Cities. The course was purchased by two local businessmen, Mike Thoms and Larry Whitty, who are already working with course staff to plan some major improvements, following several years of mismanagement and legal problems involving former owner, Todd Raufeisen.

One of the rare Nicklaus-affiliated courses that is open to the public, the standard rates (with cart) are $59 on weekdays, $70 on weekends (carts are $15/person). Walking is permitted only after 4:00 pm.

This course has updated information like phone, address, description or scorecard and is pending approval. These changes must be approved before they will be available on a SkyCaddie.

Beautiful course with rolling fairways. Very punishing if you miss a fairway by much. Fun course if you hit straight, not very if you can't. Very fast, large, undulating, greens. I'll go again.

Just played the course with my wife and father in law. They had tees for all skill levels and made it enjoyable for everyone. It is a Nicklaus design, enough said. The course is in fantastic condition and as long as you keep it in the fairway it very playable. Greens rolled true and did not have some of the bounce you can find at public courses.
