Firekeeper Golf Course
12524 150th Rd
Mayetta, KS 66509-8819, United States

Firekeeper is a high-end 18-hole course located just north of Topeka, Kansas that just opened in 2011. It is owned and operated by the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation, and is a co-design between Jeffrey Brauer and four-time PGA Tour winner Notah Begay III, the only full-blooded Native American on the PGA Tour.

Brauer has an impressive list of course designs to his credit; among his public-access courses are these highly admired designs:

* Colbert Hills at Kansas State University
* Sand Creek Station (Newton KS)
* The Wilderness at Fortune Bay (Tower MN)
* The two Giants Ridge courses (Biwabik MN)

The best course I have played in Kansas. Take lots of balls rough and native grass are brutal.

Very nice golf course. I thought the price a bit high for the area and was disappointed by no military or veteran's discounts. The staff was friendly and helpful. The course is challenging for all levels and very well maintained. I think $50 is a better price range.

A beautiful course. Very, very fun to play. The price is a little high for this area, but its worth it. Firekeeper is my favorite course to play, its fun every time.
