Metamora, IL 61548-8742, United States

Metamora Fields was designed by D.A. Weibring and Steve Walford to be an accessible heathland-style course built over former farmland northeast of Peoria. The idea is to allow golfers to play the ball on the ground, not just through the air.

Very nice layout. Will make you wish your city owned course is this nice.

Beautifully maintained. The fairways were in superb condition. Soft greens and wide fairways. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is one of the few courses that I have ever played that the tee boxes don't just change the yardage. The course and play is so drastically different from each tee box that its like playing an entirely different course. All with their unique challenges. Even playing from the front tees there are definite risk reward shots. Not too hard, but challenging if you want to push your playing limits!!

Pretty good course considering how new and with the severe drought this year.

I just hope this doesnt turn out to be another over priced Weaver Ridge. Its will be at least 5 years for the trees to grow in. Over all it to me is just ok. Way too easy right now. Not enough water, fairways are so wide you can drive a cruise ship threw.

Course has just opened in 2011, still has some rough spots but is going to be a great links style course.
