This famous 27-hole resort facility was designed by Ted Robinson Sr. and Homer Flint; the Canyon and Oasis nines opened in 1988, while the Desert 9 followed in 1995. The Desert 9 is the most requested course due to its unique layout. Still, some tree-lined fairways and water features are present here.
NOTE: This course is closing January 6, 2018 for total renovation and will be reduced to 18 holes. In preparation for this renovation, there is currently a temporary course of 18 holes which is made up of holes from all three current nines.

I purchased a Troon Card (a must if you want to play all of the Troon courses). Course is in great shape and the layout of the holes were fantastic. This is one of our favorite courses to play. You will not be disappointed. If you can get on the Canyon course you will enjoy it very much.

I absolutely loved this course and resort as a whole. Everything about it is 1st Class. It is expensive, but I bought a Troon Card, which I highly recommend if you're going to be in AZ playing golf. Played for $75.00, which is a real bargain at a course like this in Scottsdale in the Winter months. That's why I put 5 Stars for value.
The course offers some of the best scenery in Scottsdale, with Troon North being the exception. Troon North is also included on the Troon Card. All the playing areas were in tip top condition. I could not have asked for better.
The staff at the Phoenician are exceptional. That's about all I can say about that.
Make sure to go to the Hamburger Bar for a beer and burger after your round. The burger is AWESOME and the beer selection is endless.
