Always enjoy playing this course. It was in excellent condition. Sand traps are difficult for the average golfer.

One of the best courses in Illinois.

Agree with btweed review.
Driving range and putting green available. Pro shop and rangers were pleasant and helpful. Course was in very good shape, but the weather took its toll on a few holes. Greens were fast, soft and true. Bunkers could be sifted of some of the larger stones.

Pace of play was great as the course was wide open after 12 PM on a weekday. Back 9 has many elevated tee shots, including the dramatic 18th.
Bev cart quit serving at 12 PM,due to empty tee sheet, but water stations were available about every 3rd hole.

One minor complaint was a lack of marked sprinkler heads, nice in a way. 100,150,200 marked and carts have deluxe GPS system.

For $59 on a weekday, this is a deal !

Make the trip, you won't be disappointed.

More people were at the restaurant than on the course.

Pretty course. We played in middle of the week so there was no one there. Front was OK but the back was in HORRIBLE condition. Not worth what we paid.

The Good: WeaverRidge is in a class of its own when it comes to residential community Midwestern public golf. Located in Peoria, this gem is nestled between some beautiful homes but the neighborhood doesn't come into play. Beautiful, fair layout with lots of sand, elevation change, and meandering creek waiting to gobble up poor shots. The back nine winds away from the houses and is perhaps the best closing nine in the state, if not the Midwest. Wonderful Par 3's and strategic Par 5's. Great conditions, pure greens, superb clubhouse with full restaurant, and top-notch service. A value that the course is proud of.
The Bad: If only the first 6 holes were as good as the closing 12! The GPS system and on-course amenities are great except that the main restroom facilities are outhouses. The hum of the nearby interstate takes away some of the ambiance.
The Verdict: Outside of Cog Hill, WeaverRidge is the best public course in Illinois. There is not a more fair, fun course in the Midwest like it under $90 to play.
Best Hole: There are many great holes, but who can forget the long downhill Par 3 #12? Easily the best Par 3 in the state.
