One of ten TPC courses open to the public, Deere Run is a collaboration between D.A. Weibring and Chris Gray of PGA Tour Design Services. The course runs across nearly 380 acres, and the Rock River comes into play several times. Deere Run has been ranked 56th in "America's 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses" by Golf Digest, and 5th in Illinois by Golfweek Magazine. The PGA Tour's John Deere Classic is played here each year.
The property has had a storied past, having been home to Sauk Indians, Deere family descendants, and Arabian horses.

Greens were very fast and took a little getting used to but the course was in great shape. Loved it all...well maybe not the sand traps.

Scenic PGA caliber course in 3 hrs for $60 - priceless. Rolling elevation changes, nicew piece of property. No bev cart service on the day I played. Driving range.
