Back in 1989, self-made millionaire Jerry Rich did what many golfers secretly dream of doing: After acquiring some property outside Chicago, he had one golf hole constructed, then another two, and so forth. By the time he and architect Greg Wilson were done, he had designed and overseen construction of an outstanding eighteen-hole course that is so highly respected that Golf Digest magazine named RHF the fifth "Best New Private Course" in 1999. The magazine currently ranks Rich Harvest Farms 51st on their top 100 U.S. courses list. It certainly is one of the toughest; the men's back tees have an almost-unbelievable 155 slope -- the USGA's maximum.
Through Rich's planning and efforts, RHF hosted the 2009 Solheim Cup, won by the U.S. over Europe, 16-12.
Although the course is snowed-under during the winter, the club's 15,000 sq-ft indoor practice facility is open year-round and includes sand bunkers, chipping areas, two putting clocks, and two high-def golf simulators.
Non-member play is by invitation only.

I played RHF two weeks after the LIV Golf tournament and everything was absolutely the best. I stayed on property for a couple of days with great weather, a tour of the car museum from the owner and many more things that I'll always remember. Colton was a great caddie as well. Look forward to going back if I'm fortunate to be invited again.

I got the chance to play this course in August of 2010 and I have never had as much fun playing on a private course than this one. Every asspect on this course was amazing. I will get to play it again in August 2011.
