Noted for hosting two U.S. Open Championships (1928, 2003) and two U.S. PGA Championships (1925, 1961), the North Course (Willie Park, Jr.) is generally ranked among the top 50 courses in the United States. The South Course is no slouch either; this Tom Bendelow design was recently (2008) restored by Steve Smyers, usually ranks among the top ten courses in Illinois, and will host the 2011 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship (July 18-23). Both courses will host the men's 2015 U.S. Amateur Championship (Aug 24-30).

N course - greens were very fast and hard to read - not a course for your average golfer. you had better bring your A game.

Played South 1st time post renovation, much better than old South. Greens are great and you need to be in the right spots to score. I think South is better than North
