Founded in 1892, Glen Arven is one of the oldest clubs in America. Its 109 year history is rich and fascinating: Ben Hogan, Gene Sarazen, Byron Nelson and many other golf legends walked its fairways during the late 1930s when Glen Arven was a stop on the fledgling PGA tour. U.S. Women’s Amateur champions Beatrix Hoyt (1896, 1897, 1898), Frances Griscom (1900), and Thomasville native Mary Lena Faulk (1953) were all members of Glen Arven.
