The course itself currently measures a little over 6400 yards from the championship tees, and a very friendly 4900 yards for the ladies. The original front nine, developed in 1961 is typical for its era. There are small, pop-up greens that accept high soft shots, but are just as friendly to the bump and run. The fairways are tight, which places a premium on hitting the driver accurately. The back nine was put into play in 1990, and is more wide open. You can hit your driver hard, but inaccurate iron play will put you in either a bunker or three putt territory.
