Gainey Ranch Golf Club
7600 Gainey Club Dr
Scottsdale, AZ 85258-1600, United States

480.951.0022
The club gets its name from the historic horse ranch previously on this property and owned by Daniel C. Gainey. The club is very private but allows guests of the adjacent Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch to play here on a daily-fee basis.

There are 27 holes here: The Lakes course has a waterfall at # 9, the Dunes course runs through desert terrain, and the ninth green on the Arroyo course has an "infamous" peninsula green. Architect J. Michael Poellot is a former chief architect for Robert Trent Jones II.

Nice not great. Crowded starting section of the course - carts and golfers everywhere. Plays shorter than listed.

Nice resort course; neither too easy nor too difficult. Tendency seems to be over-watering the fairways and under-watering the greens. The wrong ones are soft and/or firm and hard. No way is the $200+ guest fee worth it.

Short course even from the tips, but it had a lot of character. Would play there again if in the area.
