Bobby Jones Golf Course
384 Woodward Way NW
Atlanta, GA 30305-4081, United States

404.355.1009
Named in memory of the legendary golfer, this course (built in 1932) was recently renovated with new Champion Bermuda greens and is located about ten minutes from downtown Atlanta. The history of this location dates back to the Civil War; the Battle of Peachtree Creek, one of the most pivotal battles of the Civil War, took place in the valley surrounding the clubhouse. Today, Peachtree Battle Creek is in play on five holes, while elevated tees offer scenic views of the midtown Atlanta skyline.

The staff is very friendly! The course is ok for a public course but you may need your hard hat at times due to proximity to other holes. My least favorite hole is number 9 with a blind tee shot off of a cliff to a fairway you can't see. But it does have variety and many challenges, so I guess you get what you pay for.

They've made some pretty drastic changes for the better on holes 15, 16, and 17....turning it into a pretty manageable par 5 (15), Dogleg right par 4 (16), and cut back the trees on the right side of the chute on 17.

The greens and sand were in great shape. The fairways are still pretty rotten, though.
