This very highly-regarded Robert Trent Jones, Jr. design is the home course for the University of Wisconsin Badger men's and women's golf teams, and stretches to 7,259 yards from the tips. The first nine is fairly wide-open, followed by a hilly and heavily-wooded second nine, with 80 bunkers all around. URGC earned 4.5 stars from Golf Digest in 2002, while GolfWeek named it the fourth best daily-fee course in Wisconsin.
The peak-season walking rates are $49 on weekdays, then $65 on weekends (carts are $16). Early-bird, sliding twilight, UW-Madison student, junior, shoulder-season, and 36-hole rates are also available.

Excellent course, would play again! Excellent service and course was in excellent condition. The change of scenery and hole layouts were great and with all of their tee boxes, there is a correct length for everyone.

Great Course. Very challenging greens. Bunkers in great shape. Many of the white tee boxes were out of play for fall maintenance [aeration]. Great elevation changes. 2 very different 9's. - A must play.
