West Seattle Golf Course
4470 35th Ave SW
Seattle, WA 98126-2636, United States

West Seattle GC was designed by the notable architect H. Chandler Egan. The opening nine meanders alongside Longfellow Creek, while the second nine is reportedly tougher, even though it is almost 300 yards shorter. The course provides excellent views of of downtown Seattle and Elliot Bay.

The standard walking rates are $35 on weekdays, $40 on weekends and holidays.

Fairways in okay condition considering how little rain the Seattle area has had since May, (less than 2 inches in 2 1/2 months+) not a typical summer at all. Greens were in good condition, rolled nicely. We played on 9/2/15 4 days after some decent rains.

They apparently only water the greens. Most fairways are burned out, hard as rock. The greens are mostly in good shape, and put true. They don't marshal the course, and after 5 hours, we walked off after the 14th hole.

The greens are pretty good condition. Fairways can present challenging lies in spots. This is a mature course so fairway grass is sparse in places. Very busy. Pace of play was somewhat slow especially on par 3 holes.

decent muni tucked in West Seattle. The course is a little tight which makes it more challenging. Lots of different fairway lies and elevation changes adds to the difficulty. Nice views of Seattle on some of the closing holes. Overall, a pretty decent course!
