Northwood Golf Club opened for play in May of 1989 with a design by the late architect Don Herfort, who made use of the abundant rock formations and mature trees on-site. Golf Digest has ranked Northwood 4.5 stars and ranked it the third-best new municipal course in the entire United States back in 2003.
The standard walking rate is $43; carts are $15. A variety of 9-hole, league, junior, twilight, and shoulder-season discounts are available, as are season passes.

Very difficult if you are not accurate off the tee. Not much leeway between fairway and a lost ball in the forest. Love it.
