West Palm Beach Golf Course
7001 Parker Ave
West Palm Beach, FL 33405-4564, United States

561.822.1591
This course (f.k.a. West Palm Beach Country Club) opened in 1947 with a design by Dick Wilson. Former PGA Tour player Mark McCumber did a major redesign that opened in November of 2009; it now features rolling terrain with very large waste bunkers along virtually every fairway. Unusually, WPBGC is one of the few courses in south Florida east of Interstate 95 with *no* water hazards.

nobody rakes the bunkers, fairways bare, greens inconstant.

I've been a long time fan of WPCC, more so in it's previous iteration, as opposed to its current set up. A very unique layout for South Florida in the past, with pine trees reminding me of golf coursed in NC, it now doesn't offer any uniqueness at all. The conditions when I played where medicore at best, it shows a lot of play. The greens are fast, but look a bit beat up. Fairways are firm and fast, yet look beat up as well. This course gets plenty of play, as the price is right, but be prepared for a long day as pace of play is very deliberate. Food from ER Bradleys is great though!

excellent south florida public course with inexpensive fees and a unique hilly course for the area. Well worth it for those used to the boring flat south florida courses.

Fairways decent, greens decent. Not too bad for a public course. Lots and lots of waste bunkers which are heavy sand and will cost you a stroke for each one you hit into. I will go back since this course humiliated me from the black tees.

Remolded in summer of 2009. Most interior tress have been removed, but the routing of the hole has not changed. Waste bunkers have been put into place on the both side of most fairways, but the wrong sand was used. Sand is way to soft for waist areas, this was is more like bunker sand.
Don’t even waist the money or time (most rounds over 5 hours)
