Formerly a private club known as Menominee River Golf Club, this course dates to 1901 and is advertised as the oldest on the Upper Peninsula. Not surprisingly, it is a blend of northwoods and parkland-style architecture.
Now open to the public as a daily-fee facility, the 18-hole walking rates are $21 weekdays, $25 weekends. The riding rates are $39 weekdays, $45 weekends and holidays. Memberships are also offered.
The club is also able to host weddings and dinners, as well as group and corporate events.

Play this once a year or so and it is always in excellent shape. The greens roll really true and the course plays firm and fast most days. Be careful not to spray balls as there are a lot of places to lose your ball.
