Woodenbridge Golf Club
Vale of Avoca
Arklow, 31, Ireland

+353 402.35202
Although the club dates to the late 1890s, the first nine holes of the course as they exists today were designed in 1915 by Tom Travers, a renowned professional of that era from Dun Laoghaire. In 1994, architect Paddy Merrigan designed a second nine and upgraded the original nine. Located in a narrow valley with steep, tree-covered hills, it is a picturesque layout.

Visitors are welcome year-round; the summer walking rates are €40 on Mondays and Tuesdays, €45 on Wednesdays and Thursdays, then €50 on Fridays, weekends, and bank holidays. Winter, early-bird, twilight, and guest-of-member rates are available, as are memberships.

Played Woodenbridge as part of the Wicklow golf tour fantastic value. Dad was a member there in the 1950's and played £4 yr membership!! What a beautiful setting, in the vale of Avoca, the river meandering and coming into play on over half the holes, a little gem in the Emerald Isle.
