Isle of Purbeck Golf Course
6 Studland
Swanage, D6 BH19 3AB, United Kingdom

01929 450361
Both an 18-hole regulation course ("Purbeck") and a shorter 9-hole course ("Dene") roll over these Dorset heathlands. The Club dates to 1892, and among the past owners responsible for the extension to 27 holes were Enid Blyton, a famous British writer of childrens books, and her husband.

Walking saves a £25 cart/buggy fee.

The best looking course I've ever played. Deer roaming free.
Greens are slow, not a bad thing when your used to them.
Could not fault it.
Play a twilight, quiet and good value.
Can't wait to play it again.

breathtaking views. some outstanding holes and no obvious bad ones. exposed so guess will always be windy so you need to be on top of your game (I wasn't). our society averaged +10, so not just me. needs to be played as a links. greens quick but lumpy at times. many bare lies so was still pref lies at end of May. bar staff helpful. plan to go back again and have another try.

Stunning views and some great goilf holes. Very busy and the noise from other groups seemed to carry over the course.
