Formerly known as Traditions Golf Course, Twisted Stone is an attractive pay-and-play course designed by Peter Alliss and opened in 1999. Three sets of tees stretch the course from 5,219 to 6,304 yards and features a surprisingly mature layout, including at least one Pete Dye-style water hazard. Twisted Stone is located on Pyrford Road, a short distance west of Exit 10 from the M25 London Orbital.

The adult walking rates here are £23 on Mondays through Thursdays, £24 on Fridays, then £33.50 on weekends and bank holidays. Junior, seniors, and "Just Play Card" holders enjoy various discounts, while sliding twilight rates are also offered. Societies are also welcome with advance booking.

Good value - but lacking in manicuring - I guess you et what you pay for.

Can be very wet in winter

This is not a course for the complete amateur! With water coming into play on TWELVE of the eighteen holes - club selection and accuracy is a must! When you book-in, the pro will most likely ask you how many balls you have - well don't answer 'two and they're large' becuase you'll be losing at least three - that's a 100% guarantee! But in all seriousness, this is a great course designed by a great man. even though it's relatively young, it's mature and uses the woods and streams to great effect. Rated 100%!
