English architect Ted Anderson designed this course, which opened in 1991 with nines holes on the site of the Bathew family farm in Staffordshire. In 1994, the club purchased 33 more acres of land and extended the course to 18 holes. In 1990, when they acquired 16 more acres, they replaced several of the par-3s with longer holes.
The standard visitor walking rates are £30/round or £35/day on weekdays, then £40/round or £45/day on weekends. Various specials, twilight, and guest-of-member rates are also listed on the club's web site. Societies and groups are also welcome with prior arrangement.

Played here June 2013 and the course was in superb condition. The greens were very true but a little slow! The rough was deep but the fairways wide. This is the fifth time I have played here in the last ten years or so and it has never been better. A little hilly perhaps but a cracking course.
Must compliment the food that is serverd here, very well priced and good quality.
There are a couple of holes that have been extended and SkyCaddie doen't reflect this yet

The course is quite hilly, also some long holes. Excellent for the big hitters. The greens are excellent some trick if you on top side of the pin as they are quick and later can only bet quicker. Excellent course.
