Been a member for 3 years and this course has so many personalitys- the quiet calm face- anyone can stroll around with birdie chances abound, then it can turn- the wind picks up, you land the wrong side of the green down a slope without a hope in hell of getting up and down to save a double bogey! your card in tatters head spinning, just look around at the magnificent scenery and say "next time"

Ardglass is one of Northern Irelands gems, some of the most fantastic scenary you are ever likely to come accross. If you have an opportunity to play Ardglass my advice is TAKE IT! Beware though if the wind is blowing you are in for tough challenge....

Played this as a second 18 after a morning round at Royal County Down.

This is the BEST KEPT SECRET IN IRELAND. I can't believe everyone does not know about Ardglass. The greens were the best of any of the courses I played by far, in fact they were the only ones on par with what I would expect from a premium priced golf course. The blend of rock with ocean made for some incredibly dramatic holes. The views of the ocean, rocks, islands made this the most photogenic of all the courses I played. The scenery here was breathtaking. Easily on par or better than all of the other greats I played while in Ireland-Ballybunion (Cashen and Old Course), Royal Portrush, Royal County Down, Portmarnock, and Druids Glen).

I played with a couple of local members, Paul and Mark who were awesome. I wish I could be part of a regular foursome with these guys. They gave me tips on how to play the holes and gave me a history of the course, both of which were invaluable. After seeing how they approached different shots I learned a lot and felt like I was finally beginning to understand how to play links golf and what the ideal trajectory should be on shots in relation to how many yards to go on each shot.

Oldest clubhouse in the world dates back to the 1400's. The wind was howling this day. I hit a fairway hybrid through a par 5 at 260 yards. Check out some of the club selections on the par 3s.

Even though my score wasn't great, this was probably the most enjoyable round on the trip.
