Braemar advertises as being the highest 18-hole course in Britain at around 1,200 feet above sea level. The course opened with nine holes in 1903, while the second nine opened in August of 1911. The course as it plays today was laid out in 1930. Although this is an executive-length layout that plays from 4,497 to 4,935 yards, the scenery and design of the course are fairly highly regarded.

Visitors are welcome at £25/round or £30/day. Societies and group outings are also welcome with prior arrangement.
