In addition to being a very notable links course, this is where a club member, Dr. Frank Stableford, devised the scoring system now named after him.

Societies are welcome on weekdays only. Visitors are welcome all week; summer walking rates are £80 weekdays and £90 weekends, with all-day tickets an additional £15-20. Winter walking rates are £45 daily.

what you would expect from a classical links, if your considering playing Royal Liverpool, take the short drive to wallasey its just as good.
