This course reopened on July 27, 2013 following a major redesign by the architecture team of Dana Fry and Jason Straka. Ten holes were either completely rebuilt or rerouted, while the remaining eight underwent renovations. Following the course reopening, the club hosted the first-ever Columbia Women's City Championship.
The original nine holes opened in 1921 with a design by J.M. Watson, while the second nine was designed by Larry Packard in 1987.
