Formerly The Country Club at Lake MacGregor, the course and surrounding property was purchased by Putnam County in 2004 becoming the first municipally owned golf course of the county. The natural scenic beauty of the property coupled with a challenging 18 hole championship golf course has made Putnam County Golf Course a popular venue for area golfers. I just wanted to report to you that Putnam National in Mahopac NY is now Putnam County GC and they have reversed the nines. What used to be the 10th - 10th is now the 1st to 9th and of course, what used to be the 1st to 9th is now the 10th to 18th.
