Foxtail Golf Club
100 Golf Course Dr.
Rohnert Park, CA 94928, United States

Foxtail Golf Club (originally called Mountain Shadows) is a 36 hole facility. In May 2003, a $5 million remodel was completed on both the North and South Course. The renovations of the South Course included irrigation and drainage improvements. Work on the North Course involved remodeling the tees, greens, bunkers, and cart paths.

The North 18 holes are a first-rate public golf course able to compete on price and quality with anyone in our region. The new design for the North Course promotes golfer-friendliness, but can offer the most skilled golfer multiple challenges if he or she chooses to take the necessary risks. And with 36 holes, Foxtail can host tournaments while at the same time have 18 holes open to the public.

Other improvements have occurred at Foxtail, in addition to those on the North and South courses. Golfers can now look forward to a quality experience whose amenities include a new sports bar and remodeled banquet facilities, positioned on opposite sides of the clubhouse area.

Foxtail North is a solid design.
The landing zones are pretty forgiving from the tee box. The shorter holes have well placed fairway bunkers that really make you think about which club to hit off the tee. The course is flat, with slight undulations and slight doglegs. Water comes into play on a few holes and the overall setting is quite pretty with the fir trees lining the course and the Santa Rosa hills in the background.

The South Course is more plain with few holes that stand out.
