This course dates to 1890 (fourth-oldest in Wales) is located in the seaside town of Penarth, near to Cardiff, in the Vale of Glamorgan in Wales (Cymru in Welsh).
This is an 18-hole parkland-style course, which nevertheless offers views over the sea. It was here in September 1898 that club member Dr. Frank Stableford invented the golf-scoring system that now bears his name. Improvements to the course and clubhouse have been undertaken in recent years.
The standard visitor walking rates are £45 weekdays and £60 on weekends and bank holidays (carts/buggies are £20). Discounts are available for county card-holders, juniors, and guests of members. Societies are also welcome with prior arrangement.

A well maintained, pretty, traditional course. Careful club selection needed from the Tee - don't just reach for the Big Stick. Well stocked, and priced, Pro Shop. Excellent food and service. Happy to go back at any time. (If I lived closer, I'd be a member).
