Although golf was first played here in 1894, this award-winning (and picturesque!) oceanside course (along Passamaquoddy Bay) was redesigned using plans by the legendary architect Donald J. Ross during the 1920s. Canadian architect Thomas McBroom oversaw a restoration of the Ross design in 1998, resulting in Algonquin being named among the top 100 courses in all of Canada. A teaching academy is also available on-site.
