This is one of the most respected pair of courses anywhere in the world; Gold Digest ranks the Composite Course (using holes on both the West and East eighteens) as the sixth-best course in the world outside the United States. The course hosted the 2011 Presidents Cup matches (U.S. 19, International 15).

WEST COURSE:
The famous architect Dr. Alister Mackenzie designed this course in 1926, working with Alex Russell and head greenkeeper Mick Morcom. The course opened in 1931.

EAST COURSE:
Influenced by his time working with Dr. Mackenzie, Alex Russell designed the East Course during 1930 and 1931; the course opened in 1932.
