Located about 90 miles north of Houston, this course opened in 2000 with a design by Chet Williams of Nicklaus Golf Design. Not only is it regarded as one of the best courses in all of Texas, Golf Magazine included Whispering Pines in their most recent list of top 100 courses in the United States. In addition to the main 18-hole course, the club has a 9-hole short course nicknamed "The Needler," inspired in part by the par-3 course at Augusta National.
