Stinchcombe Hill is located on the southern edge of the Cotswold Escarpment above the Severn Valley. While the course opened in 1889, Fred Hawtree and later James Braid did some redesign work. It is regarded as a very picturesque and scenic course.

Quite exposed course with great views over River Severn. Played in a stiff wind which made some holes challenging, particularly the aptly named, Risky Ridge, Par 3 6th. Greens in good condition and quick, tees boxes a bit worn, fairways good. Enyoyable.

A short but very tricky course, with small greens and tight farways.
The course was in great condition, but not a course for big hitting and wayward shots. Think your way around, ball placement is more important than big drives, or you will find yourself knee deep in hay.
