The Scarlet Course here is usually ranked among the best collegiate courses in the U.S. and dates to 1938 and a design by the legendary architect Alister Mackenzie. Ohio State alum Jack Nicklaus oversaw a restoration of the course from 2005 to 2006. The Gray Course is also a Mackenzie design; it opened in 1940.

This is essentially a private club; access is restricted to members, faculty, staff, students, and persons affiliated with the university. Certain restrictions are placed on guests; this information is posted on the club web site.
