Bay Hill Club & Lodge

Orlando, FL 32819-4880, United States

This famous 27-hole resort annually hosts Arnold Palmer's PGA Tour event and runs over a total of 270 acres along Orlando's Butler chain of lakes. Architect Dick Wilson did the original design of the Challenger and Champion nines, while Robert Simmons designed the Charger nine that opened in 1963. After Mr. Palmer bought the course in 1970, he oversaw some design and architecture changes. The facility also includes a 70-room lodge, full practice facilities, and a Palmer-branded golf academy.

All 27 holes will be closed over the summer of 2015 as the course staff reseeds the greens, changing from Emerald Dwarf Bermuda to TifEagle Bermuda.

The course is open only to members and resort guests.

It's all you need to challenge yourself. If you play just after the PGA tournament you will find out about Tour fast greens and deep Bermuda grass rough!

A most wonderful experience. I think this course is far to difficult for the average golfer but should be experienced for the learning value. Those guys are really good!

Very disappointed any course asking that much money should have been in better shape.

First time to Florida. Met Arnold Palmer on the range getting ready for the Father Son. Hit range balls beside him for 30 minutes. Once in a lifetime opportunity

Great Golf Course and I met Arnold Palmer - What more could you ask for...

Great course, how can you complain about a Palmer, but for the money, there are plenty of other courses to play with equal challenge for a lot less. Needless to say I would play it again as I would other great courses in the US.
