While this appears as a parkland-style layout, this Mel Flanagan design incorporates two ancient ring forts, a moat, water on twelve holes, and a good portion of rolling, tumbling terrain that locals say is a pleasantly surprising layout that contains plenty of challenges.

Beautiful course. Tough but fair, like a good GAA player. An unknown little gem.

Spot on course, very hospitable and excellent maintenance - from the greens to the 19th its 100%
But boy is it TOUGH - don't let the vista and elegant layout fool you, this is one very tough course and is deeply unforgiving. The lakes are very well placed and the bunkers deep, hidden and welcoming.
The 3rd hole is a par 4 270 yards and has a stroke index of 5 as it has a gorse hill one side, a lake on the other and a dog leg on the way- seeing is believing.
That being said, its a great course, one of the best I have played and a "well hidden gem" in Irelands Courses - play it, its fantastic.
